Out-With!

No matter how terrible war is, Bruno does not lose his innocence.  Out-with to Brune's perpective  turns out to be Auswitch to everybody else's perspective.
As Shmuel tells Bruno that his father disappeared, Bruno promises Shmuel  they will find him together as friends.
True friendship is limitless. No fences nor any other obstacle can break it. This is shown when Shmuel gets some striped pajamas to Bruno and together they look for Shmuel's father. Suddendly, both of then are taken, together with other prisioners, into the gas chamber and holding hands, they go to their last journey. As two innocent friends in times of war.

Striped pajamas for Bruno.

The beauty of child's innocence in times of war, the extreme hate against some people and a lesson of love this gives to humanity.
Not caring about what prople might say, Bruno is now one of them, he is also a boy in a striped pajamas
. His innocent eyes see reality from another perspective.  He is now, helping his friend, giving him company, giving all he can give. True, innocent friendship.

True friendship.

When you find a friend, you care about him or her. True friendship does not discriminate. Bruno and Shmuel are a role model to follow. Specially Bruno, whose heart was so pured that he could not understand why those people with stripped pajamas and a star on their arms were hated and why they were kept in a place they did not want to be.
No matter how bad Jews were considered, Bruno trusted his Jewish friend and trusted his own heart. They would keep their true friendship despite the fence  that separated then.

Innocence

'Sometimes there are things we need to do in
life that we don't have a choice in,'

Adults always claim to know more than children while children often wonder why adults do things they don't  understand. For Bruno, it would be so simple to go back to the house in Berlin and return to their old happy life. But for father, those happy old days are over and reality must be accepted as a new stage in life.

I remember when I was a child,' said Father, 'there
were certain things that I didn't want to do, but when
my father said that it would be better for everyone if I
did them, I just put my best foot forward and got on

with them.'

As we grow older, we lose the essence of life and  happiness. We should always consider children's perspective. We will always learn something from them

Heil Hitler,' he said, which, he presumed, was
another way of saying, 'Well, goodbye for now, have a

pleasant afternoon.'

Children are so innocent!

Life is unfair

The innocence of a boy and the cruel reality he discovers just meters away from his comfortable home. A reality far different from the life he is used to live, but in this case lived by a totally unknown boy ,until now. Bruno is waking up and realizing that life is not fair. There are people who live better than others and he might wonder why.
But he found a friend, and despite the difference between them, a beautiful  friendship is born.

The Boy in the striped pajamas

An inspirational and touching story.

Bruno, a boy who is facing the most cruel thing his innocent mind can imagine, has moved and left his beautiful house, his three best friends for life and a spectacular view of the city of Berlin from his house. It is clear that all this seems a terrible idea, looking from his ingenuous perspective.  His anxiety for exploring new things made me imagine my own childhood and the way I  used to see things from my own viewpoint, unaware of reality. His idea of  the world around him is so inspiring to me. Though, his curiosity will lead him to discover that horrendous things are happening.
